    This may not be info for beggners, but:
    - Boot from DVD (cd? BT3?)
    - mount your Bt partition
    - Edit your grub file and see if it helps.
    BTW, do you remember on what partition you installed GRUB?

    Well you answered yout own question: You installed GRUB on your primary HD. With that, you MUST have external HD plugged in order to boot into Windows or BT.

    Try it with-out GRUB. It should work.

    Edit: I followed my own advise, it didn't work, will re-trace my steps to see where the problem is.
