One of the best programs that I have come across for recovering data is called "file scavenger". It is a windows program and is very efficient, does not even need to be installed.

About all you would need would be a old computer (32 bit, as I don't know of any router distros offhand that support 64bit processors) and a suitable...
Look into mesh networks... then from there, have everyone host their own web servers.

I checked out the CHDK wiki and your camera is not supported, although if you are willing to get a camera that is supported by CHDK you can do almost anything you would like, as CHDK is linux that...

What I can never figure out is... if you are going to do something...
Change the boot order in your bios to list USB devices first, as this will cause your computer to boot off of a USB device if it is inserted; if not, it will boot normally.
