ifconfig eth1 down

to do injection !
sudo modprobe -r ipw3945
sudo modprobe ipwraw

ifconfig eth1 up
-----------------------------------------

airmon-ng start eth1 -- monitor mode eth1

no luck tried everything with ifconfig and still couldnt do it through ethe0 and wlan0 i get error msg saying couldnt retrive interface

i have a dv1688us hp laptop. plz help

i followed instructions and tried on the terminal ifconfig /renew and gives error msg " error fetching interface information : device not found .

what can i do ?
what am i doing wrong?

how can i set up a internet conection then ? ndiswrapper ? ...
i also have the ethernet access..

i cant seem to conect to the internet using backtrack.. im new on this.. plz help.. i use a hp laptop and it has wifi but cant use it what can i do?
or at least can some one guide me on how to setup...
