i've got a 555M and downloaded the 310.32 nvidia driver from their site.
I blacklisted Nouveau, and removed it as said.

After the R2 to R3 upgrade, msfconsole wouldn't run. I had the blinking cursor only. Just did your trick and it works nice now :)
