i think you should make an option for using european channels also. that would be very nice, since they go beyond channel 12

Why dont you just change the essid to a name without spaces? :)

Do you get an error message? if you do, what does it say?

it clearly says that you have entered a non US channel. you need to edit the script so that channel 7 is in the US channel list.
or change the script to use EU channnels

if you are afraid of loosing your data, do a backup first :)
