Alfa AWUS036H, great card.
That's why i posted in Wireless and not in Backtrack.
No way to force b mode.
Modes are G-only and mixed.
Router is DI-524 b4, it's crap.
So, i kinda narrowed it down to the driver being used.
When i disable my ipw3945 in Ubuntu and insert my rtl8187 based AWUS036H airpwn doesn't see any data packets.
Any way to get the ap to send...

Why don't all cards that work in linux work in windows too?
I have a card with the Realtek 8187 chipset which doesn't seem to work in windows.
Why is it so hard to make drivers for windows to make it possible for wireless network cards to inject/monitor mode?
Wouldn't there be a way to compile linux drivers for windows or edit a windows...

When you start Airpwn you must tell it what driver to use.

I use the alfa awus036h with BT.
It has always worked perfectly for cracking.
Does airpwn work with it?
Can i use wpa_supplicant with these updates drivers?

Did you get it to work? I have the same adapter, from what i hear everyone got it working out of the box, without a problem, but i just can't get it to work.
And it's not that i'm too stupid because...
So after reading some stuff on line i found out that the AWUS036H was a good choice, it's very powerful, USB so easy to move, and should be able to inject packets out of the box with backtrack 2.
