EDIT - scratch this - reverted to ieee80211 drivers and now working.

I am running on the eee901 (harddrive install) and all hardware seems to work...
install it to the hd using a usb mouse to get past the dvd freeze. trust me it works...

Touchpad didn't work off a live dvd on my 901 either. Will try HD install (to Runcore SSD) to see if works...
If the touchpad freezes during install, just ignore it and use a usb mouse. It will...
After a month of fiddling with the 901, swapping the pci card and pulling my hair out I have come to the conclusion that this machine is a Microsoft-designed P.O.S. Stick with the 7 series!!!
Found this. It is not a solution but maybe gives some clues. I am no wire-head but maybe it can help someone diagnose...?
