I ordered an ALFA so hopefully thats gonna help "solve" some "problems." Im probably going to replace the mini PCI card with an atheros based one then get an external antenna for it.

Actually, the ethernet card is Atheros based, and the wireless is RealTek based.. somewhere I found Broadcom somewhere on the PC before, but maybe that was my imagination..
