Well, What is it that you want to do with backtrack? Question is pretty vague

and make sure that the the root= the right partition for each

I tried splitting the partition with boot camp then loading with live cd...
fdisk /dev/sda
etc for manual install but the problem is drive only allowing 4 partitions
bt3 needs 3 and mac plus...
If so anyone have the manual?
