What's your host OS? (Windows, OSX) etc.

You might be having an issue that the host is "using" the adapter and the guest (vb) can't take control of it.

The card is built into the main board, it would be imposible to change. ifixit.com did a deconstruction that shows the innards.

Since you've written your tutorial for total noobs, you should add in how to enable networking on BT4 and installing the nVidia drivers. Or at least a link back to the posts here on how to do it.
