I'm seeing the same issue. When I run airodump-ng I can see that AP is cycling between all channels. Anybody have any suggestions?

first do:

xinput list
To find the device number of your touch pad, then:

xinput set-prop 15 "Device Enabled" 0

...replacing 15 with your touchpad device number.
