I'm also experiencing I/O errors on EVERY shutdown.
Every time I boot my BT5R1 persistent USB (8GB), I pray the last shutdown hasn't completely destroyed it.
Made it with universal usb...
To easily make a persistent BT5 usb stick apparently gives a lot of aids.
Whether one uses 'universal usb installer 1.8.9.9.' or makes does everything manually, including making own EXT3 or EXT4...
