    my original question was if VNC was removed from BT5 I wasn't online to get it from the repos

    I also didnt see a delete post ...it can be deleted or left for keywork help for...

    For the purpose of this thread I think my comments were relevant, minor things like mounting are hardly what makes BT differ from Ubuntu to someone who has "linux knowledge" but not "backtrack...

    haha yea...

    but anywhoo. its because you have a switch, you need to get a HUB or a network tap. start there understand what your dooin, then eventually you want to look at ARP poisoning your host.

    you might need to run it and plug and unplug and run it again, script it all and then you dont need to think about it..

    bottom line it works.
