I have noticed that the error only occurs if the interface is in monitor mode. If that is the case, remove it from monitor mode and try again.

Gerix uses Cowpatty. Cowpatty has about a 2 gig limit on the size of files it can read.

If your connected to ARCANE_NET then you can only pick up AP's that are using the same channel (freq). Disconnect from it and try again.

Do you have any clients connected to your AP?

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to crack wep or WPA? To crack WPA you need to run a "wordlist" against the "handshake". If a word in your list is the password you have cracked it....
