Got the same error after installing a kernel.lzm I think it contains the kernel sources. I'm closer to solving this I can feel it, can anyone give us a hand. :(

got the first part of my issue solved, the folder hostap is the actually the same one I was patching, but the second error msg still intrigues me.

I found the folder /lib/modules/2.6.21.5/build/...

I too don't have MAC restrictions and I tried lowering the speed to 1M manually nothing then when I do aireplay it does lower it to 1M automatically but still it won't authenticate.:eek:

reboot takes time and I can reset the mac manually but I wanted to do it automatically like in windows.

I've like to do that without unloading the driver.
Also can I change mac without going ifconfig down? cuz I always hear ifconfig down first then mac then ifconfig up again.

I did check with airmon-ng check wlan0 and there wasn't any error yet I still got that error. After that error happens there is a process with PID bugging I removed it but still the error come back,...

Scanning on backtrack will only scan 1 channel
I was able to install a kernel source so I can install/configure the wlan-ng drivers on bt3. Now my card works however when I went to try scanning...

when I input this into my browser there are lots of weird characters, how do I get the file instead? and also once I grab it where do I put it? in the same directory lib/modules/2.6... or in usr/src...
