    The reason that this is happening is that both the scapy and the python-scapy is installed. the version of just scapy is 2.2.0-dev.


    apt-get purge python-scapy

    and just install...

    When you run say msfconsole the first time, it creates the /root/.msf4. You don't have to create it.

    Sorry also install the headers if not installed.


    apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.39.4

    then recompile you should be good.

    What you need is kernel source open a termnial and type


    apt-get install linux-source-2.6.39.4

    I tried the windows version under wine it works great. Copy over some of the dlls to windows/system32 and your good to go. Open a file to debug it gives warning about dlls not found they are the one...
