I'm running BT3 on a beater P3 450 Mhz, with 256MB of ram.

This needs to be updated for BT3F.
the line:

ramdisk_size=4444

needs to be changed to:

ramdisk_size=8192

This will change the size of the ramdisk from about 4 MB to 8 MB.

I figured the error in time here just fit with the story of my life.

I agree with hhmatt81 that you installed it to the usb wrong.

Here's a hint, use the live CD that you have to boot linux while following the instructions in the install.txt file.

you probably should be using wifi0 not wifi.

check by typing airmon-ng or iwconfig.

Check out Booting live from USB using a bios with no usb boot support by Ike_X in the tutorial section.

On my old beater P3 its the only way I can boot BT from a USB.
