clopper I solved this problem by adding
bt3 from=/dev/sdb1
to the APPEND line in syslinux config file in all modes that i was using, which is now just nvidia
I was having this same problem ty,,and btw..the LZM module didn't work for me either on nvidia 8600 gt , i got the package from the nvidia website, that did the trick:D
