I've the same problem with hydra, I'm going to try Medusa now. I used


hydra -l admin -P Documents/passsword.txt 192.168.1.2 telnet

It gives me wrong password and different one each time, but...

Yeah, the md5 sum was wrong for that file :(

md5 was correct for this file, it may have a problem in configuring my graphics card. I'll check out the forum.

I have a problem in booting Backtrack 3 off Live CD. It fails to auto-configure X-Window system.
I log in and type 'startx' and it shows of several lines of errors as follows :


X:...

I set the "CD Drive" as my 1st boot device with the live CD, but nothing happened and I was booted into Vista which is on my hard disk.

I read the readme, but I don't have a DOS prompt installed,...
