To everyone else who *did* Google for how to resolve this (and that's how they found themselves on this thread), in recent versions of Ubuntu:

My question is, when I update my dist (apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade), does this automatically...
Downloaded the x32 version of Backtrack 5 and tried to run it under vmware 7
It gets the following error at boot, any idea how to fix it up?

Is there a way to install to hard drive from the .iso completely in command-line mode? (not doing startx)
I'm trying to install BackTrack on Hyper-V, but until I install the support for the mouse...
