The docking station was a bit loose. The network connecction was lost.
enabeled eth0 and did a dhcp renew. everything works fine now.

Lilo does need a BMP image.
It is not to be found in your /etc/.... folder.
Just look in the root into the /boot/ folder.
my guess is that you can copy/paste the line if you preformed a full BTF...
