I would have to agree with Ret... Once you learn the command line commands it makes everything easier. Then when you move from one Linux to another if it has a GUI it just makes it that much easier...
I think what you are looking for is VNC Viewer. With that you will be able to log into BT3 from XP. The only other thing would be putting Backtrack3 onto a VM and using it as a VM
