Wow ok yea that was it. I swear I've tried just about every combination between I guess i missed rt8180. Sorry f3ntanil I swore i tried that. I know i did r8180 (like the r8187 driver for the card)...
is this in bt3final? I followed the usual steps to try to use that driver
#modprobe r8180
#
#ifconfig wlan0 up
Error no such device
r8180 would be a different driver. Tried bringing it up and using it just to make sure and it didn't work. :(
I've googled and checked on here but I keep getting mixed information and none of it seems to be adding up. I just got an Alfa awus036h. I'm using the r8187 module and bringing it up. It's entering...
hmmm don't know how the dev team would feel if people started spreading it around. Maybe pm them first?
Yea using Emerald is one solution the other is to click the reload window manager button
Looks great really happy the headache is over
Nice Congrats!
hm well it definitely shouldn't be returning like that... maybe it's something with your cat command possibly try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Anything else turning up weird?
I tried it before I posted it and I didn't get any errors it worked fine I think it does the "catting" before creating the file... either that or since the file is empty at the time it writes nothing...
Pat's or Geno's?
@ Zippo Master
try just cat * > bigfile.txt
*rubs his eyes and looks at the screen again... did you actually make a serious post streaker69? ;)
LoL EDocTooR ;)
Yea I've been fooling with airbase but it REALLY doesn't like those rt73 drivers(It worked once.. after that all malformed packets and hirte said it was the drivers i actually have an alfa coming in...
It's worth a shot but it could go either way. Just make sure you find / -name nv* before you rm them so you know exactly what and where to replace.
I've got an intel 3945 it's mediocre. Normally I prefer my wusb54gc with rt73 drivers. From what I hear the Alfa Rt8187L card is second to none. For anything else stick with the atheros chipsets.
I believe muts mentioned fixvesa for those problems. That might help get you started. Maybe compare your bt3 setup to bt2 or bt3b.
Did it work when booting from the usb? If so you might be able to pick up some ideas from the bootup.
alsamixer
see if any channels are muted
Please let us know how it goes. I'm pretty curious myself and am fooling with it. I'm using an rt73 card as well.
lol... it's in the menu DIRECTLY underneath saint which is in vulnerability identification section. You need to email them.
Pentester using wesside-ng for work? For shame! Try it the good old-fashioned way!
Well if you can't physically get closer try using a better card.
I can't believe I'm still awake to type this but I had luck with running tor and getting the foxyproxy addon to firefox.
#tor
be patient it'll eventually have success
open firefox goto tools...
This tutorial assumes one has installed the USB to HDD, however these steps may just as easily be followed during the install process (I realized afterwards that compiz didn't work so I figured most...
