Does anyone know why after setting the vga driver to intel 965 the xorg gets corrupted and I can't log into the system?

You're right, without editing the menu, the Autoscan returns an error...

Edit the "options" file located in:

/etc/modprobe.d/
(Use nano or any similar command line text editor. Need to be root or use the "sudo" before the command...)
