I have tried this all before but still it does not make a mon0 interface... i can see the networks by
airmon-ng start wlan0 but i have to keep pressing refresh on WICD Manager otherwise it won't...

I have the same notebook and it fails to make mon0 interface with airmon-ng start wlan0 command...
