Hello,
I have what I think is a simple question. I am in the middle of taking the OSWP course and have a question about authenticating against a WEP-encrypted network with SKA enabled. For...
Thanks for the info. I just got profit sharing from work so maybe I'll do it anyway. Anyway good to get a second opinion. Regards!
Haha, I just wanted to make sure this is the most updated version of the test! I actually responded to the post-reg message and asked them and they said a new version is coming out in a few months...
Hey guys, I'm sorry but I'm not sure where to put this question so mods if it's in the wrong place or there's a better one for it feel free to close it and let me know, or move it.
I am interested...
You should try googling how to unpack and install things on Linux. This really doesn't have anything to do with BT, it's just a simple Linux task. You might want to try reading up on some basic Linux...
....malicious video streams perhaps? I think it would make more sense just to use an evil FLV file but who knows ... I'm a bit intrigued or confused at least :)
Lol, and for the record yes I meant 1920x1080. Sorry about the vague response, I was mildly annoyed at the time because I have answered the same question about modifying xorg.conf forty times...
the short answer is yes. I am running 1900x1080 on a 24" monitor right now.
This is a basic network problem. I don't know what the solution is but if you can't troubleshoot this you are going to find it very difficult to understand BT4...

^Great, now everyone is going to think this is a "Linux for Beginners" forum. Nice job Vulcan! :-P
Think of it this way:
If you spend 5 years becoming a master programmer and can code any exploit to your heart's content, how are you going to get it onto the affected system?
1. Social...
Can you boot it on another PC to verify the USB stick install is good? That will eliminate one variable.
ha, that's pretty slick. Now if only I had the time to write enough buffer overflow exploits to actually use it, that would be nice ...lol
Cool script anyway, thanks for sharing, it'll come in...
Dude, read the man pages. Every tool is documented ruthlessly in the man pages, on this forum, the wiki, and on the web. No one here is going to spoonfeed you this information, and honestly if you...
What makes you think you would need a preconfigured pentest disk to make XP vulnerable? It's quite vulnerable even in its default released state :)
I think that's an easier way to understand it. I understand the whole process much better after moving onto the more advanced tutorials. This is good stuff. Thanks for the additional clarification as...
In xorg.conf I believe the first res you specify is regarded as default, so you might try just reordering the res list in xorg.conf.
SSH is just a secure version of telnet. Read up on "how to use SSH to transfer files" and you'll find what you're looking for.
Which version of BT are you trying to install?
When I did it on my mac mini (intel core 2 duo, mid 2007 model) I downloaded the ISO .torrent, mounted the .iso to a 4GB HDD I created in...
Good tutorial. I have dealt w/ Samba a lot and hate it for this reason. SSH is ready by default in BT, all you have to do is start the server and go. :)
I agree 1,000%. Samba is more annoying than Miley Cyrus on salvia (+1 for anyone who gets that reference lol)
You will find it very difficult to attack a virtual machine from a host. You should set up two virtual machines and network them. Much easier, and more effective/realistic.
In his defense, he did say he does not want to use virtualization. However I have no idea why because I use it on my mac and it works fantastic.
