Champagne would be nice, especially considering it's my birthday today! Unfortunately killing NetworkManager before starting airmon-ng and starting airmon-ng on the AP's channel, which are the only 2...
Unfortunately leaving out aireplay-ng -1 has not solved my injection problems :(. Is there a certain order I need to go in for this to work by any chance? Up to now I've always done wpa_supplicant...
Looks like I've got the authentication working for the first time. No luck with injection yet though. Here's what I did:
Got the code posted here:...
'wpa_supplicant -c fake.conf -i wlan0 -Dwext'/''wpa_supplicant -c auth.conf -i wlan0 -Dwext' is a line in both of the scripts which I mentioned that I've tried, and regardless, I'm still having the...
With regard to Chaox vs. BT4PF - I don't think it's an issue with my BT4PF ISO because when I just booted into Chaox to try the wpa_supplicant method I found, I tried - iwconfig -> airmon-ng start...
Thx for the link. I booted up into the Xfce of Chaosx, logging in as livecd since root wasn't permitted, and ran the same commands as before. This time, aireplay-ng mon0 --test returned "Injection...
I apologize for missing that part of your original post, but the symptom you are describing is indeed identical to the problem I experienced - the DVD just always booted to the grub cmd prompt. Sry I...
A, thx for the tips :). My answers are in bold:
Here is the output from running the cmds as A suggested:
Thoughts
alacrityathome,
When I run the 'sudo aireplay-ng mon0 --test' command, I get the following result:
And that ^ is without having launched any applications (e.g., wicd) or having executed the...
Verify that the MD5 check-sum matches the one given on the download page. I spent ages trying to get my BT4 pre-final to boot only to eventually realize that the file I had downloaded differed from...
I have tried two different methods to get the injection working using my 4965 on both BT4 Pre-Final and Beta, with no success:
1) David Barchiesi's script, as posted here by cruisex:...
If you've done your research, as you said you did, you'll know that several people have reported the 4965 wireless card to be working with BT4 beta and pre-final using just a simple script. Then...
You're not alone, my friend. I've got a Dell Inspiron 1520 w/ a 4965 and I'm having no luck either, with or without the scripts. Injection just never actually produces any IVs (#data) for me....
I dunno what I was doing wrong before, but I just tried the script, with /n removed, again, and I didn't get any error msgs. That being said, I was only able to generate exactly 11 data IVs at a time...
Sorry, I just mistyped that. Here's a clean copy-and-paste of how my script looked after I took the /n out:
I'm booting BT 4 pre-final using a live CD. Could somebody explain the difference between the various boot options to me (frame buffer, persistent live CD, etc.)?
Regardless of which boot option...
Like I said in the second part of my post, I'm using a BT 4 pre-final live CD ;). And yea, I tried writing said code as:
I'm not having as much luck as you, cruisx, with my 4965 and that script. I copied it into a new text file in my root directory, and ran the script using the sh cmd, and I get the following error:
