Did you try to get out and push?
You didn't take the time to even list the type of laptop you have. Is it the one with the horse-drawn buggy?
Don't assume that it will automagically be fixed when BT3 goes out of beta. Show a little respect and post some info, at least inform as to 'where' it is slowing down in the boot up process.
Well it's a HP Pavilion dv6733eg. Its only when i haven't plugged in the power cable. I dunno what you mean with horse-drawn buggy.. O.o? And the boot process is slowing down at checking the floppy drive. Im not quite shure how long that "slow part" takes because just the floppy check takes about 15 minutes.
As an example how slow it is --> U know that blinking symbol when its booting. The time between appearing and disappearing of that symbol is about 1 minute... o.O
I really hope u can help me.
PS: That's everything that i've tryed:
Boot option:"irqpoll"
run from cd
run from usb
install on hdd
i tryed to find an option in bios to save energie ...
Here the whole system spec:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK57 Mobile Technologie
2048 MB
NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS
No ideas? *push*
If you load it off a CD, that will make it quite slow. USB installation is much much quicker. Also, even if you do a USB installation, remove the CD from the CD Drive, or it will load off the CD even if you boot up using the USB
Well the boot of a cd and and a usb stick is quite the same. Both are damn slow :(
yeah i found out that booting in USB is a lot more quiker than CD boot........
@Markazeh
I have the same problem when booting with the AC unplugged (HP dv6185eu).
This only occurs when I boot from CD/USB.
When I tried
in the boot option menu, BT3 started normally, but the intro music was very choppy and my wlan card wasn't working properly???Code:bt acpi=off
Tried BT2, both installing to HD/USB and running the livecd without any problems.
Maybe it's fixed when BT3 final arrives?
Well, if it only seems to happen when you have it unplugged then your laptop may lower your processor speed to conserve power.
Hmm possible, but why does BT2 boots in normal speed?
