With the very newest madwifi drivers straight from the trunk do we still have to patch them with the madwifi-ng-r2277.patch? Im asking cause with the patch I can't seem to get my ubiquiti src card to inject, but my d-link injects fine. I've serched and only find the patching guide which is outdated and I don't need. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Also I don't use wesside or any of the other new tools but should I use the dirty patch? Im running version 1.0 beta1 r863 or the aircrack suite.
No offense to the Madwifi team, but I haven't had much success with their "trunk" developmental drivers in the past when I used them, so I tend to shy away from them. ;) BTW, I've also never ever had to use the madwifi-ng-r2277.patch.
Just use the latest stable drivers like the ones I use. I have had 0 problems with them. Heres the direct link.>>>

Thanks for the info. I will try those drivers. But do they still need to be patched for injection or is patching a thing of the past for atheros drivers? And should I just use the 2277 patch or the dirty patch?
To be honest...all I use is that link and install it this way...
ifconfig ath0 down
ifconfig wifi0 down
cd scripts
./madwifi-unload.bash
./find-madwifi-modules.sh $(uname -r)
cd ..
make
make install
modprobe ath_pci
Thats it. Well, I reboot after this as well to be safe. ;)
No patches. Just the driver. :)
And everything works 100%. WEP, WPA, Cracking, Scanning, -=Xploiting=- and wpa supplicants.
Again, Thank You! I will give that a shot to see if that helps my ubiquiti any. I am almost a little disappointed with that card.

Well the injection works now but the rates went way down. I used to be injecting at around 200-300 pps, now Im lucky to break 100.
