Maybe ATI graphics problem

Just thought Id post this to see if its a bug or not.

I have a Radeon X600 Pro, and BT2 worked fine. When I booted BT3, it whent to the screen that loaded all the files and then my monitor whent black, and then a gradient colour from right to left was going accross white to black.

I thought my monitor had broken but when I restarted everything was fine. That was booting with the default option.

I then booted into another option (1024*768) VERG i think its called adn that worked no problem.

Is that something im doing wrong or is it a bug ?

Oh I tried the CD on another machine and it booted up first time normally.
