Set BIOS to boot from Cd
so im probably the biggest noob on this site hehe, but i finally got backtrack working. when i would put the cd in i was just getting the BT and Boot folders.
the problem was that i did not set my bios to boot from the cd. so make sure you do this before putting in your cd. i know this is probably posted in the forums somewhere, but this is for easy access.
So to enter BIOS you need to hit a certain key before the computer starts. Most of the time it is F2, F1 or the delete key. Once you are in the BIOS screen go under the boot menu and make sure that cd drive is at the top of the list.
i did this and then back track started to work.
hope this helps :)

thx but you know ........ BT IS NOT INTENDED FOR NEWBEES.......
if someone don't even know how to change his bios settings, he have nothing to do with a specialized pentest distro........
first thing is to learn linux and after to use bt if you need it.....
anyway thx
