Re: wireless troubles
Can you be more specific? Is it just not seeing your router?

Re: wireless troubles
Have you not tried starting the network services yet?

Re: wireless troubles
When you plug it in and then run 'dmesg' do you see the new hardware recognized in the dmesg output? Also, after you have plugged it in do you see the adapter as an available wireless adapter using 'iwconfig' ?

Re: wireless troubles
I'm also having similar troubles with the WUSB54GC v3.
BackTrack is not recognizing the adpater. I know the adpater is good as it works fine in Ubuntu.
The output from iwconfig lists just lo and eth0.
The output from dmesg shows that BackTrack is not recognizing the adapter as a WiFi device. Below is the output from unplugging/plugging the adapater.
usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 2
usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: wireless troubles
iwconfig
<look and see what wireless interface you have>
ifconfig wlan0 up
or
airmon-ng start wlan0, wlan1 etc
@whwvwhwv - I am curious if your v3 card is a different unsupported chipset instead of Shane's rt73, which is. Might want to check the supported wireless card page.
