Backing up apt-get dist-upgrade downloads
How do i Back up "apt-get dist-upgrade" downloads
I wasted 600mb+ on downloading updates how can i back them up and reinstall them(offline) on a new BT installation
My 3g dev disconnected 2 times during a critical download of flash player and opon reboot BT got Broken into lil bits all over my floor....:mad:
This is after 1 hour of downloading 300mb and this happened Twice
I hate my isp:mad:
I don't have a lot of gap to waste here so please help

I am not an expert, but I don't think what you want to do can be done. I would suggest one of two things:
(1) Use a VM instead of installing directly to bare metal. This way you can clone the VM and keep snapshots.
(2) Get your bare metal install perfect exactly the way you want it and clone the drive partition using standard software like Acronis True Image or CloneZilla.

I was considering vmware or using a cloning app when i got BT up
But i cant seem to get it updated in the first place
My internet connection Keeps on Droping
This is ok for the first 300MB(because it picks up on were it left off) but when it gets to the Flash player installation and it drops then BT is broken for good
I did not think it was possible aswell but it dose not hurt to ask
Well i think im going to install BT to VMware now and backup after every command or something...
