Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 driver

I have the above card and it didn't work out of the box in 5r3. The fix was very simple (adding a file to /lib/firmware). Can this be added to the main distribution, as well as maybe the other ones on that page?

I had no trouble injecting packages with the default driver I downloaded from there.

Hello, I ve read your thread but i am facing an issue with the 2235 Card. anyone has any idea if the firmware supports it ?

Hi,

Recently I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Y480 which uses an "Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200" wireless card.
I installed the BT5 r2 32Bits distro but I can't see my wireless card
I downloaded the driver found in http://intellinuxwireless.org/ and placed the ucode archive in /lib/firmware
then I tried
root@bt:~# prodprobe -r iwlagn
root@bt:~# prodprobe iwlagn

rebooted my laptop but still no luck.

Can somebody give me a hint? I have like a week working on it and I can´t get the wireless networkk to work :(

it is `modprobe iwlagn`, not `prodprobe iwlagn`.
Also, after running that, don't reboot, since this is not saved in the setup, it will get reset after a reboot.

Hello, thanks for the correction.
It is indeed modprobe, I misspelled the words.

Yesterday I could find a solution to my problem installing the stable compat-wireless release :D
I must to say mine was a Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200 driver but maybe it could help to the 2230 driver too.
