The Fix for Metasploit update in BackTrack 5-R2

didn't fix my problem, getting same issue

i did that already. but after a few minutes i got this message at the end of the update :
svn: PROPFIND of '/svn/framework3/trunk/lib/active_support/vendor/tzinfo-0.3.12/tzinfo/timezone_info.rb': could not connect to server (https://www.metasploit.com)
i chechked the metasploit in its still the same version, so . . . how do i fix this?

cd /opt/metasploit/common/lib

mv libcrypto.so.0.9.8 libcrypto.so.0.9.8-b

mv libssl.so.0.9.8 libssl.so.0.9.8-backup

ln -s /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8

ln -s /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8

msfupdate

I originally had this error with Metasploit so I used this fix. Now a new error appeared:

svn: Working copy '.' locked
svn: run 'svn cleanup' to remove locks (type 'svn help cleanup' for details)

I'm new to backtrack but below given steps solved my metasploit update problem:
1. Open Terminal
2. Type cd /opt/metasploit/msf3/
3.Type msfupdate and hit enter

Hope this will solve your problem............

Fix worked for me as well. But anyway previously I always updated this way:
first
cd /opt/metasploit/msf3
and then
svn update

Even though msfupdate worked with those error message, this fixed it, thanks! :D
