if wifi on USB 3.0 -> xhci_hcd 0000:xx:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring
Hello
I'm using the new Backtrack 5 R2 Gnome 64 bit
Thank you very much for your job.
I can boot from the liveCD but...
If my wireless card is connected to an USB 3.0 port I get a message like this:
Code:
xhci_hcd 0000:xx:00.0: ERROR no room on ep ring
and it keeps echoing forever this message with different numbers.
If I plug the wireless card on a "older" USB 2.0 port I don't have any problem.
I don't have problems with those USB 3.0 with other distros nor Windows.
What can I do to solve the problem? (besides using USB2.0)
CPU: i7 930
Memory 12GB
Card: SignalKing 880wn RT3070
Motherboard: GA-X58A-UD3R
regards

I am having the same issue, my USB 2.0 Wifi device does not work on my USB 3.0 port, tried with BT5r3 and r2.
The device does work on a different pc that has USB 2.0 ports.
Where you able find a solution? my laptop does not have a single USB 2.0 port.
I readed somewhere that a workaround would be to start your workstation with the USB 2.0 device plugged in to the USB 3.0 port but this hasnt worked for me.
