Broadcom 43227 drivers issues Acer 5750g
Hey guys, thanks for reading.
I have just acquired a new Acer 5750g and I am having one hell of a time trying to get the bcm drivers to work.
I have downloaded the bcm drivers specific to my card (bcmwl-kernel-source and bcmwl-modaliases) and jockey-gtk but i get nothing.
Also, on jockey-gtk, Hardware Drivers shows No proprietary drivers are in use.
Silly question, I have pressed Fn + F3 but that doesn't change anything.
Please help :)
Re: Broadcom 43227 drivers issues Acer 5750g
Hey man, I am having the same problems with my Acer Aspire 5750G
It sucks so bad.
If I launch BT5 in a Virtual machine then the drivers work...somehow?
But I hate using VM :(
So....I desperatley need help in fixing the drivers/adding them.
Or if you could add the STA/Broadcom drivers in BT5 R2 that would be freaking SWEET :D
Thanks in advance :)

Im also having problems with my acer aspire 5745G.
The wireless card (broadcom 43225) drivers cannot be installed. Please include the drivers as default in the BT R2
Greetz!

Hi, i see that this post is pretty old, so some of you maybe found a solution for this issue but I have the same problem as you had. backtrack 5R2 doesn't recognize my broadcom 43227 network card on acer 5750g notbook. I have been trying to find solution for this problem for few days but didn't find any. I am new to Linux so maybe i am making mistakes. Any kind of help would be very helpful. Thanks
