Its more reliable then hydra/medusa and much better coded. It will soon support CDIR-IP-Ranges and lists.
It's not a must but this is a nice tool. In the Blogpost above you find a super! clean installscript to test that stuff without producing a library-mess on bt5 r1.

I copy & paste the version of the site (in gedit) comment #install ......line & #unistall ... ... line)

I have gotten Medusa working but I simply cannot get this to work. I tested this and it just skips my username/password combination of root toor . I even tried puting the threads down to 1. Still a no go. Heres the command I issue:
sshtrix -h 192.168.1.118 -p 22 -l /home/qweyzar/Documents/user.txt -k /home/qweyzar/Documents/password.txt -e -s -v -t 1

i'm testing on bt5r1(ssh)work fine!& also test to "attack" my victim xp with (FreeSSHd install) work fine!
i'm using virtual-lab in eth0 (bridge+hosts)..

i will update sshtrix to version 0.0.2 soon. first version was only initial release and with less options.
can you please pastebin or something similar the output? beside that, i am working currently on version 0.0.2 and it will be released soon. much more options and bugfix because of thread initialization.Quote:

hey, you are using "/k" which is wrong (see above) You must use "-k".Quote:
