Problem with BT5 and Alfa Awus036h
Hi guys. I think that I have some problems (hardware?) with Alfa Awus036h and BT5 (KDE).
When I'm starting BT5 in my netbook with alfa plugged it it shows it only in iwconfig list. and not in ifconfig!! I saw another posts but I didn't get some help.
So, My internal wifi card is wlan0 and alfa is wlan1
If I type airmon-ng start wlan1 it says and it freezes!!:

Found 2 proccesses that could cause trouble.
If airodump-ng, aireplay-ng or airtun-ng stops working after
a short period of tie, you may want ot kill (some of) them!
PID Name
1301 dhclient3
1353 dhclient3
Process with PID 1301 (dhclient3) is ruunnin on interface wlan0
Interface Chipset Driver
wlan1 Realtek RTL8187L rtl8187 - [phy0]
(monitor mode enabled on mon0)
and it freezes!
After that I tried airmon-ng check kill and to try again the command. But it is still freezing!
Is there any way to find out the reason of this? Also sometimes wicd is freezing for some seconds when it tries to connect to my AP
I don't think that the card is damaged because I can connect to my AP. Is there any log file to check?
Maybe it's a conflict with my other internal card and I can't disable it.
Thanks in advance

Thanks zimmaro for the reply. This didn't help me because after the command wicd is still freezing. The main problem is not the wicd but the airmon-ng freeze. Did you have the same issue?
Re: Problem with BT5 and Alfa Awus036h
hi
wicd is now fixed?
for your wlan0 i'dont know try:
airmon-ng stop wlan0
ifconfig wlan0 down
"iwconfig wlan0 txpower off" if your wlan0 chipset support set tx power (es:the rtl8187 ok)
bye:)

Yeah thanks for the help. I think that wicd is fixed. Thanks again
I tried to power off the other card but it still fails to get in monitor mode. It freezes in airmon-ng start wlan1 and it doesn't end the procedure and to return to terminal
