airmon-ng displays no interface,chipset or driver

I have the same problem but i boot the backtrack 5 on sd card now work perfekt.you need to download unetbootin from the internet

It's best to buy a external wireless adapter. The Realtek 8187L chipset is one of the common wireless card that everyone uses. I have the Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter with Realtek 8187L chipset inside and it has no problem injecting packets. Very few of the internal cards work with Aircrack.

i have a laptop ASUS Eee PC with Win7 32 bit and ATHEROS AR8152 wifi card
i have installed successfully BackTrack on VMware but on taping airmon-ng i have nothing

is that adapter compatible with BT ???

i have tried to install many times but in vain
if i try ifconfig the resut is
eth0
lo
can some one help ?? plzzzzzzz

I am having real issues and none of my buddies are deep into linux knowlege. I am more than willing to let someone who is skilled use teamviewer to remotely help me with my issue.
