Wicd: No wireless networks found!!!!!
Hi all. I am using BT5 (KDE, installed on HDD).
Wicd was working properly and then suddenly it stopped. I have not played with settings or anything of that sort.
First thing i checked was if my wifi button/switch was on (it is!).
Here is some info, if you need more please let me know.

Re: Wicd: No wireless networks found!!!!!
try to install compat wireless drivers and see what you get
Here
How to install:
Code:
tar jxvf compat-wireless-$(date -I).tar.bz2
cd compat-wireless-$(date -I)
./driver-select (driver)
make && make install && unload
reboot
Re: Wicd: No wireless networks found!!!!!
Firstly Hi, great forum :)
Secondly, I had this problem for the last 2 days. (I know it is an old post but just encase someone may have this issue in the future).
I resolved it by opening Wcid program, clicking preferences, then entering "wlan0" in the wireless interface box.
Finally I can move away from my router and enjoy wireless again! :D
