HD Install

Installing on an eee 701 with a 4GB ssd, booting on usb, using the 32bit KDE release.

The install script doesn't work, it hangs at keyboard layout selection.
I attempted to manually install creating my own partition table and formatting it correctly in fdisk, it runs out of space (inodes ugh) and cannot copy/preserve files.

I was wondering if anyone could help at all?
The last two times I asked for help I received infractions.

I'm not a total linux noob, I've been using it on and off for about eight years.

You don't have enough space on the SSD, this is mentioned in the faq, and or wiki, which you should read. I can also see why you would get an infraction, considering that you did click to agree and follow the rules by joining up here.
And those rules do state you should read the wiki/faq.
