Just follow instructions.
Also you can try as stated before by itsme90: aptitude install gsfonts gsfonts-x11 flashplugin-nonfree
Hello all,
I am also trying to install the Adobe Flash player on my BT 5 R2 KDE 64-bit install. I have tried the method on the wiki and the methods listed here, to no avail. I'm also using FireFox if that's of any importance -- I find the Konq browser a bit too unwieldy.
After each set of steps, a reboot, then trying Adobe's page and Youtube both confirm that Flash doesn't work. I wasn't exactly upset that Flash wasn't working in BT5 until I that one of the Vulnerability scanners requires it for its UI. Oi vei.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The wiki instructions do not work, probably because neither link to download Flash is current. I am only able to find the current version of one of those files, install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz
I have the Gnome VM, and there are no plugins directories for either mozilla or firefox - they appear to have been replaced with /usr/lib/mozilla/extentions or /usr/lib/firefox/extensions or ~/.mozilla/extensions.
The apt-get method does not work either - it goes through the motions and appears to install, but when i launch Firefox, I have no flash. I really would like to get this going, is there anyone who has the right fliename from the Adobe site? Given flash's security issues, I'm not willing to grab a copy someone saved off last year, if you know what I mean :)
