What has happened to Metasploit???
Since the last upgrade to metasploit 3.7.1 from the backtrack repos, metasploit has not worked.
I have tried to re-install, remove then re-install various versions 3.6.0 etc etc from the repos, all to no avail.
I have tried to build it from the full metasploit installation from their website and the package does not complete the install - complaining about, postgresql password being wrong even tho the previous install was removed and the services/processes killed.
Also the package download from the repo is very very slow and it times out frequently, (I have a good internet connection and other packages download quickly).
Please could someone shed some light on this problem.

Re: What has happened to Metasploit???
Same thing happened to me with 32 bit kde. Framework 3 is gone after trying to update from the repo (no msfconsole, etc existing anywhere). Uninstalled and tried again to no avail. Prior versions didn't work for me either. I got the same errors you showed during upgrade attempt.
Seriously frustrating since I had just gotten everything working with metasploit and fasttrack.
Re: What has happened to Metasploit???
I have the same problem after apt-get update/upgrade everything stop working ... :/ i think is a problem at repositories ...
Re: What has happened to Metasploit???
Same exact issaue here for Backtrack 5 KDE 32bit, hoping for an updated framework3 package
