After restarting, I got the same error, so I ran this command:
Before I post it, I rebooted again, and now really works !!!Quote:

cp /etc/skel/.kde /root/

It seems that they released bt5 kde version with some kind of problem like this. I also got error in startx so rather than kde, i used gnome instead. Works great.
So do i, in my HP Dv5-1240br. :mad:
No need to use another desktop manager due to this problem.As its clearly stated in this thread, all you need to do is type 2 commands into terminal and you are good to go.
On the other hand you can obviously use GNOME in the first place, but you wouldnt be reading this if you didnt like using KDE:P
