If you are booting BT5 on your computer / laptop and the boot halts in the middle, screwing up your screen....there's a good chance the problem is a DRM driver conflict. I've seen this happen on recent MacBook Pro's.
To solve this, try booting BackTrack 5 using the "No DRM" boot option.
If that doesn't work, try booting using the "Debug mode".
