Rescuing a boot-to-black-screen system
After an upgrade to the latest Ubuntu I'm booting into a black screen... the only way to get some response is with alt+sysrq+e
Here's all my logs:

So I'm trying to figure out how to rescue with Backtrack. I'm impressed with RC2; it's the only distro I've found so far to boot straight but without x... yet wifi works with wicd no problem.
p.s. I bought this CD from a 3rd party. How do I check it hasn't been fiddled with?

This is not the ubuntu forums nor do we support people downloading BT from outside the official sources, that we provide.
