I am tring to crack my own WEP with GWC(gerix wifi cracker), and everytime i select [ Start false Access Point Auth on victim]
below I recieve no network selected. I go to the configuration tab and I select the network, same instance occur.

It works fine for me. Are you sure your card is in monitor mode?Quote:

Yes, i do put the card in monitor mode.
The ESSID his hidden and no clients, still when I choose [Start false access point on Auth on victim], still error= no network selected.???
Chop Chop starts, but is useless if I dont succeed with a Deauth.
i also updated still no help.
Ya its in monitor mode,
I even updated, cuZ I saw that there was bug that was doing the same thing.
Let me know if ya hear anything.

Yeah, you're probably better off just taking an hour or so to go through some aircrack-ng tutorials. Using the command line tools will help you to gain a better understanding of how the entire process actually works.
i have also probs using Gerix (does not find any Network)
if you want to learn about console using the aircrack-ng suite then look at the wiki there is everything explained (http://aircrack-ng.org/doku.php)

basically you will just need to read the article about attack 1 and 3 for other attack arts read 5 and 4
