Dell TrueMobile 1300 USB WLAN Card?

I have a Dell TrueMobile 1300 USB WLAN Card and I would like to use it on BackTrack 4 since my desktop does not have an integrated WLAN card. I have tried to start up the card using the "ifconfig wlan0 up" command but no luck, and I have also tried using the "/etc/inti.d/networking start" but that did not work either. Is there anyway I can enable BackTrack 4 to pick up USB devices or in this case the wireless card?

You should try and give us more details, like is your card recognized at all, what commands you have issued, their output, followed guides, etc.

Are you using a live CD or VM?

My real question now is how to install drivers for a Dell TrueMobile 1300 or how to have VirtualBox or Vmware detect it.
