Problems with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG driver, after airmon-ng comes nothing.HELP!!

Hi everyone, iam new here and iam a noob at the Linux os.

1. I use my laptop with a Windows XP SP3 and i have an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection adapter and its driver.

2. I've downloaded VMware Workstation 7.1 then the Back Track 4 final VMware image.

3. I started BT 4 with VMware. Logged in bla bla...

so far no problems.

--> But after i typed in "airmon-ng" i got nothing. No interface, no channels no drivers listed. HOW CAN I FIX THIS OR WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
I dont know how to install the proper driver in Back Track or VMware or under XP.

So i have only one OS on my laptop (XP) and thats all. And i cant imagine how to install a Linux kernel under XP. (or in BT 4 using VMware)

PLEASE HELP, AND GIVE A GUIDE STEP BY STEP COS' I AM A NOOB IN LINUX!:(:confused:
